Developed to accompany the Roundhouse Vale of Rheidol locomotive, these coach kits are for the Swindon built, flush sided coaches, which are still running today. These 16mm scale kits are from wood, the sides being multi layered giving a deeper relief to the droplights etc. They are complete with brass door handles, cast brass footboard brackets etc. White metal castings for emergency brake details, vac. pipes, side chains etc, wooden seating and laser cut steel headstocks with channel shaped solebars. Transfers for both Great Western and British Railways eras are also included, down to the smallest detail including lining and the crests. Comprehensive instructions are included New laser detail has been added to the kit, including interior planking on the seats and doors and straps for the droplights. This is illustrated below in our cut away model. These kits require bogies, wheels and couplers. RSA116 bogies with RSA30 wheels are recommended. 32mm gauge is scale however if 45mm gauge is modelled AND tight curves are to be traversed, then the RSA33/1 bogies can be substituted for greater clearance. |
