SANDY RIVER 2-6-2
A superbly detailed model of the Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Railroad loco No. 24. The original locomotive was built in 1919 by Baldwin for the American Sandy River line and worked through to the close of the line in 1936, after which it was scrapped. In addition to the mass of fine detail, the model has the proven Walschaerts style valve gear, a boiler level sight glass and a water top up system. So by topping up the gas, you can keep the loco in steam as long as you like. Although large, the model will traverse curves down to 600mm radius. Supplied with centre buffer couplings, a choice of manual or radio control, and for either 32 or 45mm gauge trackwork. Wheels are insulated for compatibility with 2 rail electric stock. The updated model has more brass castings for durable detail and fully sprung locomotive chassis with compensated tender bogies.

Dimensions: Length 710mm (28'') Width 120mm (43/4'') Height 159mm (61/4'')
