VALE OF RHEIDOL  2-6-2

The Vale of Rheidol railway still operates in mid Wales taking tourists from Aberystwyth to Devil's Bridge.  The motive power for this like is essentially three 2-6-2 tank locomotives and these are modelled as the latest Roundhouse locomotive.  They are modelled for the Great Western and British Railways era and have a fantastic amount of detail and features.

In addition to all the usual fittings these have a fully sprung chassis, a water gauge and a top up valve, a built in radio system with rechargable batteries and even a charger.  The valve gear is the usual and proven Roundhouse simplified Walsherts arrangement. Three sets of number and name plates are supplied with each locomotive for you to choose and fit - 7 Owain Glyndwr, 8 Llyweyn, 9 Prince of Wales.  It also has a set of fire irons and a shovel for detail - the model is internally gas fired.

More factory fitted features are available at extra cost and these are:

Radio Controlled Drain Cocks for draining condensate from the exhaust,
Radio controlled steam whistle,

Available for 32mm or 45mm gauges (32mm being correct to prototype).  Radio controlled only.  Colour choice is mid Brunswick green (the normal Roundhouse green), a NEW dark Brunswick green, black, gamboge, maroon, tan, blue or Darjeeling blue.

Also take a look at the loco components section for further detailing
