Brandbright Cricket
A freestyle locomotive specifically designed to allow for a number of options to be incorporated by the builder. Supplied in either ‘ready to run’, manual or radio controlled or in kit form, it now has a purpose built tough chassis with chunky gears and a strong motor.
The body kit is
basically etched brass which readily forms into shape by bending along etched
fold lines, the parts then requiring soldering together. Castings for axleboxes,
air cleaner and horn are supplied to provide additional detail. The body kit was
originally designed for alternative chassis and some adaptation is required for
the new chassis. The chassis, couplings and if required, the batteries and radio
system, are needed to complete the loco. The chassis are factory assembled and
fitted with a 12 volt motor.
The ready to run crickets are available in tough green, maroon or blue liveries with a matt black cab roof and require the charger for recharging.

CR2/0 Ready to run, RCS radio control fitted which also controls horn, lights and flashing beacon. The cab is also glazed. Insulated wheels. Centre buffer, 32mm gauge
CR2/1 As CR2/0 but 45mm gauge.
CHARGER Charger, plugs into mains socket and has a lead to plug directly
into locomotive. Universal for all Brandbright battery locomotives.
