LYN 2-4-2T
A very attractive 16mm scale model of the Lynton & Barnstaple Baldwin, built in 1898 but modelled as running in 1929. The model features spoked driving wheels, a bar frame style chassis, gas firing, a water level gauge, fill valve and the usual pressure gauge, lubricator etc. It is supplied with spare bogie wheels to allow running on prototypical 32mm gauge, or 45mm gauge track and the wheels are insulated.
The cab roof lifts to give access to the manual controls. Reversing is by a lever in the cab, operating a piston valve reversing valve and speed is controlled by a steam regulator - also available radio controlled. Solidly built yet finely detailed, Lyn is available in full Southern livery, lined and lettered as shown or in an all black non-decorated livery. Minimum track radius: 3 ft.
