| Models of the pioneering railcars built by Walkers of Wigan for the Irish Clogher Valley Railway and then later, in 1942, transfered to the County Donegal Railway. The passenger railcar, built in 1932 as CVR No.1 (CDR No.10) is articulated behind the cab and the model similarly pivots. The kit comprises crisp resin mouldings for the body giving easy assembly of the curved shaping. Metal castings complete the detail, which includes seating etc and the rear bogie is also cast. The front power bogie has metal wheels and is powered by a 12 volt motor. The kit contains bogies and wheels and can be built for either 2 rail or battery operation (batteries and controls not included) | |||

The rail lorry, Clogher Valley Railway No.2, was also supplied in 1932 and could tow a coach or a few wagons. Although transferred to the County Donegal Railway, it did not appear to be used in service, but probably purchased as a source of spares. Using an identical front end as No.1, the kit similarly uses the power bogie and cab design from the passenger railcar. The rear of the lorry kit is supplied as pre cut, planked wood with white metal castings for the hinges etc. |
